Every five years the Rapid City Police Department closely evaluates the direction the Department is headed. We create a five year plan where we set goals and then establish objectives to meet those goals. This is an important process for the Department. The purpose is to identify better ways we can serve our community. To help achieve this, we are asking for the public’s ideas and suggestions on a new five year plan. We will be holding two public meetings and also taking calls from the community. E-mail responses will also be accepted on an on-going basis. The times and locations we will be taking the public input is as follows:
