At approximately 1813 hours this evening, the Rapid City Police Department and the Rapid City Fire Department were dispatched to a two vehicle crash. The crash occurred at the intersection of US Highway 16 and Enchantment Road.

 

A one-ton Dodge Dully pickup was northbound on US Highway 16 when a red Jeep Cherokee pulled out from Enchantment Road into the intersection and was t-boned. The two occupants in the jeep were extricated and transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital. One of these individuals is deceased and the other is being treated for injuries. The driver of the Dodge pickup walked away from the crash without injury. 

 

Other agencies assisting in this crash were the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol. The accident remains under investigation by the Rapid City Police Department.
