The Rapid City Police Department, along with the Pennington County Sheriff's Office and SD Highway Patrol, will be conducting a DUI checkpoint tonight.  A short briefing detailing the operation will be conducted at 9:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Building.  Representatives from MADD and the Citizen’s Police Academy will also be on hand to assist with this operation.  Members of the media are invited to attend the briefing as well as the actual checkpoint to follow.

 

This checkpoint is part of the RCPD DUI Task Force efforts to combat the problem of drinking and driving in our community.
