The public is invited to attend two parades downtown on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Starting at 10 a.m., the SDSM&T Homecoming Parade will leave the Surbeck Center parking lot, travel west on Main to 4^th Street, turn east on St. Joseph Street and return to O’Hara Stadium.

 

Starting at 11 a.m., the annual Red Ribbon Parade will leave the Surbeck Center parking lot and follow the same route as the SDSM&T parade.

From 9:45 a.m. to approximately noon, the parade route will be closed to through traffic, including St. Joseph Street from St. Charles to 4^th Street, and Main Street from Steele Avenue to 4^th Street. Downtown visitors are asked to find alternate travel routes during the events. The Rapid City Police Department thanks the public for their cooperation and support of these community events.
