Yesterday afternoon police responded to a report of a possible gunshot on the 700 block of East St. Patrick.

Officers found a male victim with a head laceration; he was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. After speaking with multiple witnesses, police believe a fight erupted between two people and there were no firearms involved. Alcohol was a factor in this incident, and several of the witnesses were taken to detox.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is continuing.
