Rapid City, S.D. –At 9:42 a.m. on August 16, police were called to an aggravated assault on the 300 block of St. Andrew Street. A female caller, who left the residence to call police, reported that a male suspect had assaulted her, was barricaded in the residence, and may have stabbed another person inside.

The Special Response Team, including a K9 Unit, was used to enter the home. The suspect was not inside, but a machete was recovered on scene.  A man inside the residence did have minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police are still determining how his injuries were sustained. The female victim did not require medical treatment.

Police are searching for Jeremiah Little, age 29 of Rapid City, in connection with this incident. Anyone with information on Little’s location is urged to contact police at 394-4131, or submit an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD’ and the info to 847411. The incident remains under investigation.
