Rapid City, S.D. –Nearly 200 riders are expected to participate in the Dakota Thunder Motorcycle Run on Tuesday, August 7, which may cause some congestion on I-90 and Deadwood Avenue.

The run will travel from Ellsworth Air Force Base and reach I-90 exit 55 (Deadwood Avenue) around 12:20 p.m., head south on Deadwood Avenue to West Chicago Street, and follow West Chicago/South Canyon Road out of town.

Drivers should expect delays in that area during the run, and are urged to use alternate travel routes over the noon hour. The Rapid City Police Department thanks drivers for their cooperation during the event.
