Rapid City, S.D. –The City Parking Ramp will now have additional metered parking spaces available for downtown visitors.

Thirty leased spots on the ramp’s second floor have been temporarily switched to metered parking spaces. Officials hope this change will help accommodate the influx of visitors to the downtown area during the summer months.

The public is welcome to use any of the metered spots in the ramp. Enforcement of the new metered spaces will begin Monday, July 16. The City continues to work with Destination Rapid City and the downtown businesses to provide needed access to the downtown area.
