Rapid City, S.D. –The South Dakota state track meet will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 25 at O’Hara Stadium. The event will run through May 26 at 4 p.m.
To accommodate the large crowds expected to attend the meet, traffic on E. St. Joseph Street from E. St. Patrick to Tech Access Road will be condensed to two lanes of east and westbound traffic, starting at 11 p.m. on Thursday and running until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
The speed limit on E. St. Joseph Street will be 25 mph during this time. The only access to the parking lot will be from the west end. Drivers not planning to attend the meet should consider choosing alternate travel routes. The Rapid City Police Department thanks drivers for their cooperation during the event.
