Rapid City, S.D. – At 6:54 p.m. the Rapid City Police Department responded to the intersection of Mount Rushmore Road and Saint James Street in reference an accident involving a bicyclist and car.

The male bicyclist received life-threatening injuries due to the crash. He was transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital for treatment.

The Critical Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to conduct an initial investigation.

The investigation is on-going.
