Rapid City, S.D. – The Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in a homicide investigation.

The body of 45-year-old Robert Ghostbear was found on March 21 near the railroad tracks on East North Street, across from the Castle Inn. An autopsy revealed the cause of death as blunt force trauma.

The RCPD and PCSO are continuing to investigate Ghostbear’s death, and are trying to put together a timeline of his final day, including where he had been and who he was with. Police are releasing a photo of Ghostbear today, in hopes of jogging the memory of anyone who may have seen Ghostbear just before his death.
