Rapid City, S.D. –At 10:18 p.m. and 10:22 p.m. on January 14, police responded to a report of two consecutive armed robberies at two local convenience stores located at 601 Mt. View Rd and 3106 W. Main St. A male suspect entered the businesses brandishing a black handgun and demanding money. The suspect is believed to have fled in a white sports utility vehicle.

The suspect is possibly a Native American or Hispanic male who is approximately 5’11” tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a black quilted vest and dark shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The handgun appears to be a black semi-automatic. The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford Explorer, 4-door, perhaps 2000 model, alloy wheels with one black trim strip on lower door panels.

The Rapid City Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect from footage taken from surveillance video at the scene of the crimes. The suspect can be seen in the attached pictures. Please do not approach but contact the shift supervisor at the number above if located.
