Rapid City, S.D. – Rapid City Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects in several open cases:
• At 2 a.m. on Dec. 11, a clerk at Happy Jacks Casino reported hearing loud noises he thought might be gunshots. When police arrived, they found the front door to Dairy Queen (1601 Cambell Street) shattered. Nothing appeared to be taken. • At 4 a.m. on Dec. 14, police were called to a residence on the 300 block of Lawrence for destruction of private property. The caller heard several people outside trying to break into her car. When police arrived, the suspects jumped the fence, and police pursued them on foot. The suspects did get away from the officers, but while searching the area, police discovered that the door to Don’s Valley Mart (3343 Haines Ave) had been broken into, and several bottles of alcohol were stolen. • At 3 a.m. on Dec. 16, a man entered Corner Pantry (1220 E. Saint Patrick St.) and asked the clerk for cigarettes. As the clerk rang him up, the man jumped over the counter and tried to steal the cigarettes. Surveillance video from this incident can be found at http://youtu.be/IWv9FNs8204.
