Rapid City, S.D. – At 11:50 p.m. on June 24, Rapid City police were called to a report of a fight at 621 E. Blvd. When the first officer arrived, he found Morning Star Hill, 26, assaulting her sister. The victim, 20, received multiple stab wounds to her face and body.
Witnesses reported that Hill and the victim had been arguing, and the fight escalated into a physical altercation. When Hill began to stab the victim, a third female, 16, jumped between them to break up the fight. The 16-year-old received a stab wound to the hand.
Hill also received minor injuries during the incident. All three females were transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital. The 20-year-old victim is currently listed in stable condition.
After being treated for her injuries, Morning Star Hill was arrested for aggravated assault/domestic violence. The incident is under investigation by the Domestic Violence C.A.R.E. Team, a joint unit of the Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff’s Office.
