Rapid City, S.D. - The Rapid City Police Department and Rapid City Fire Department are racing to eliminate blood shortages in the sixth annual Guns 'n Hoses blood drive, and they need the public's help.
The RCPD and RCFD will compete to see who can collect the most pints of blood, with a goal of more than 900 pints collected in four days. Donors will receive a commemorative t-shirt, and prizes will be raffled to donors who make appointments.
United Blood Services will be collecting donations from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. June 22-25 at Baken Park. Sign up for an appointment at www.bloodhero.com or by calling UBS at 342-8585.
