Rapid City, S.D. – Chief of Police Steve Allender recently announced the promotion of several officers within the Rapid City Police Department:
Sgt. Don Hedrick has been promoted to lieutenant and will remain assigned to the Field Services Division. Hedrick began his career with the Rapid City Police Department in 2002. He was promoted to detective in 2008, and sergeant in 2010.
Detective Kelvin Masur has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and reassigned to the Field Services Division. Masur began his career with the Rapid City Police Department in 2001, and was promoted to detective in 2008.
Detective Warren Poches has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and reassigned to the Field Services Division. Poches began his career with the Rapid City Police Department in 1999, and was assigned as a hit and run investigator in 2005. He was promoted to detective in 2007.
