Rapid City, S.D. –At 3:15 a.m. on May 19, police responded to a report of suspicious activity at 824 Columbus Street. An 85-year-old resident reported a male subject was causing a disturbance on the roof.
When officers arrived, they found the glass front door had been smashed out. They searched the building and found Travis Spottedwolf, 19, in the lobby. Spottedwolf repeatedly ignored officer commands to show his hands and to move to the ground. When he continued to be non-compliant, an officer deployed his Taser one time.
Spottedwolf was arrested and taken to Pennington County Jail for first degree burglary, destruction of private property, resisting arrest, and sliming.
