July 8, 2007 - Stabbing 600 Block East Boulevard North

At 5:15 a.m. on 07/08/07, officers from the Rapid City Police Department responded to an address in the 600 block of East Boulevard North to a report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival officers found thirty-one-year-old Tyler Olvera of Rapid City, lying on the driveway of a residence, suffering from a laceration wound to his neck.  The victim was transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital where he was admitted and listed as being in critical condition.

Officers were provided a description and name of a possible suspect, and within minutes an individual matching the provided information was located outside a residence in the 100 block of East Watertown.  Twenty-five-year-old Gary Two Bulls of Rapid City, was taken into custody.  He will be held in the Pennington County Jail on a charge of attempted first degree murder, a class 2 felony, punishable up to twenty-five years in the state penitentiary.

The matter is being investigated by members of the Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
