The Rapid City Police Department arrested a total of twenty-six (26) people over New Year’s Eve.  Of these arrests, five (5) were for driving under the influence.  This is down slightly from 2008, when eight (8) people were arrested for DUI during the same time period.

There were no alcohol related crashes in Rapid City.  This is the ongoing goal of the Department and the reason enforcement was increased over the holiday.
