December 30, 2009 - Shooting/Stabbing - Update

The victims in yesterday’s shooting and stabbing have been identified as Cindy Eleeson (52) and Bruce Eleeson (55). Cindy is in stable condition and Bruce is listed as critical.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Casey Eleeson for two counts of attempted murder. Attempted Murder, SDCL 22-16-1, is a Class 2 felony, punishable with up to twenty-five years’ imprisonment in the state penitentiary. In addition, a fine of fifty thousand dollars may be imposed.
Authorities continue with the search for the suspect in the case. She is described as a 22 year old white female, with blonde hair, brown eyes, 5’4” and 135-140 pounds. She is possibly armed with a handgun and was last seen driving a blue/grey 2009 Toyota Highlander with SD license plate 2RP604. The suspect is the daughter of both victims. According to information, she was recently living in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area.
As the investigation continues, more information may become available and will be released at that time.
