September 11, 2009 - W. Main St. and Jackson Blvd. Intersection Change

Beginning September 11, 2009, right turns on red will no longer be allowed at the intersection of Jackson Blvd. and West Main Street when turning off of Jackson Blvd. to proceed east on West Main. The Rapid City Police Department recognizes this is a significant change for people who frequently travel this route. In an effort to help citizens acclimate to the change, the RCPD will be working on an education campaign in and around this intersection. Officers will be present in this area during high traffic flow times.
We urge everyone to use caution and avoid distractions while they are driving.
