November 17, 2008 - Infant Death Investigation

The Rapid City Police Department and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a 7-month-old infant that occurred in the 500 block of Monroe Street in Rapid City. On November 17, 2008, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers responded to the residence in reference to a medical call of an infant not breathing. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for November 18, 2008, to determine the cause of death.
This investigation is on-going.
