October 20, 2008 - Car/Pedestrian Crash 800 Block of Omaha Street

On 10-20-08, at approximately 6:38 p.m., the Rapid City Police Department responded to a car pedestrian crash near the 800 block of Omaha Street. A westbound Ford pickup driven by Frederick Saville, 31, of Denver, Colorado, struck Jesse GoodVoice, 50, of Rapid City. GoodVoice was transported to Regional Hospital with life threatening injuries.
At this time it appears alcohol was a factor on the part of GoodVoice, as he apparenlty was illegally in the roadway when he was struck by the Ford.
The crash remains under investigation.
