On March 23, 2008 at about 1142 hrs, dispatch received two consecutive 911 calls from the residence of 1207 Wambli Drive, Rapid City. Dispatchers could only make out some sort of a disturbance in progress. When Officers arrived at the house, they observed a 42 year old Native American male subject with a knife protruding from the left side of his head. Also in the residence was a 32 year old Native American female with blood on her hands. Initial scene investigation led officers to believe the female had stabbed the male in the side of the head as he was attempting to exit the residence through the back door. The male victim was alert and speaking to officers on scene. He was rushed to Rapid City Regional Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries. The names of the parties involved are being withheld until further investigation is complete.
